After becoming a success in movie theaters in Brazil, Taina – An Amazon Adventure and Taina 2 – A New Amazon Adventure were used as pedagogical tools in educational projects, in association with MEC (Federal Education Department) and local Education Departments of several States and cities.
This activity consists of special exhibitions of the film, with free entrance or at reduced ticket prices, for pupils of both public and private schools as well as for children living in poor communities, besides open exhibitions in public areas (squares, parks) all over the country. Over 2,500,000 children and youngsters have already been directly served by this work, which will be amplified with Taina 3.
These films have also participated as guests of educational projects in the USA and Honduras, which created the opportunity for cultural exchange. A broad project is under construction in basic schools of the United Kingdom.
