TAINÁ
A kirimbau warrior, intelligent and determined, she is capable of communicating with animals. Eight years old, clever in handling the bow and arrow and the zarabatana (blowgun), she uses the wisdom of ancestors and her native skills to defend the environment where she lives.

LAURINHA
A blond little girl eight years old, she is coming from the city, fearing the forest and its inhabitants. Very attached to her grandpa, she is capable of facing perils to rescue him. While getting acquainted with Taina, she is to find another world – large and mysterious – facing challenges and getting to know the value of friendship. 

LUCAS
Laurinha’s brother, daring, creative and spirited. He is ten years old.  In these holidays he is to live through an strong relationship of love and admiration with grandpa Teodoro while both face constant danger and unbelievable situations.

 
MAYA
An indian young woman, Taina's mother. She saved Taina as a baby, giving her the muirakitan to protect her life. This amulet is to keep her attached to the little girl through dangers and hard moments.

TIGÊ
The old and wise shaman keeps a strong affection relationship with Taina and takes care of the Indian village, the forest and the whole world. His power is transcendent. He talks together with the supernatural beings of the forest.

TEODORO
Laura’s and Lucas’ grandfather. In love with nature, a botanist and an idealist, he dedicates life to set and keep the ecological reserve of Araçari. He uses to fly on a balloon to watch over the forest.

VITOR
He is about thirty years old. Greedy, he is the typical middle class young man who, having no scruples, places his personal and immediate concerns above everything else. An enemy to the Indians and to those who defend the environment, he wants to get hold of the forest reserve of Araçari to deforest it and to exploit it in a predatory way. For him, money is what matters.

LUNA
Vitor’s sweetheart, handsome and completely submissive to him. She is capable of any gesture to support him.

MACHADO
Vitor main help, he has a huge physical strength that makes a contrast with his intelligence. He worries about his own health, having no concern at all for other people condition.  He is about forty years old. Tanned, brawny, cold hearted and violent, he speaks the least and gives himself airs of mystery.

CATU
An awkward little monkey and a friend of Taina’s, he is always with her, helping her or causing some confusion.
 
PIPO
Teodoro’s parrot. As a talkative creature he often reveals secrets that jeopardize the bandits. He supports his friends in the hard moments.
