SYNOPSIS / THE STORY

Sister and brother, a girl (8 years old) and a boy (10), Laurinha and Lucas go to spend holidays in their grandfather's forest reserve. On arriving to the Amazon, they find a deforested area. Grandpa Teodoro has been kidnapped. Cousin Vitor, a greedy smuggler of timber, has imprisoned him. As Laura tries to escape on a balloon, the aircraft crashes in the jungle. The Indian little girl Taina, whose village the bandit attacks too, rescues Laura. Supported by her grandpa Tigê, a shaman, Taina goes on with her mission of protecting the animals and the forest. She faces and defeats the evildoers, freeing Laurinha's grandpa and brother. Overcoming culture differences, the girls become close friends forever.
